Pray
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your
Father, who is
unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6
But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. Romans 8:20-21
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5.13-14
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:34-36

The word of God
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:17-18
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3
May your unfailing love come
to me, Lord, your salvation, according to your promise; then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word. Psaln 119:41-42
Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothersare standing outside, wanting to see you.” He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” Luke 8:19-21
We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 1John 2:3-5
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
I have taken an oath and
confirmed it, that I will follow your
righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.
Psalm 119:106-107
May my cry come before
you, Lord; give me understanding according
to your word. May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise. Psalm
119:169-170
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:16

God is
Whoever
does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
His wisdom
is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out
unscathed? Job 9:4
Jesus
answered. “No one is good except God alone. Mark 10:18
Do not be
terrified by them, for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a great and

Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9

is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

The love
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If I give all I possess to the poorand give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 1Corinthians 13:3-4
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each otherand for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. 1 Thessalonian 3:12-13
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 1John 4:15-17
This is how we know who the children of
God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do
what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. For this is the message you
heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 1 John 3:10-11
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life comes not from the Father but from the world. 1John 2:15-16
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and
weary, and
young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in
the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow
weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
This is what the Lord says: “The people who survive
the sword will find favor in the wilderness; I will come to give rest to Israel.”

with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he
will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:23-24
“I will heal their
waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.
I will be like the dew to
Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots; Hosea14:4-5
“Again, truly I tell you
that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done
for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name,
there am I with them.” Mattew 18:19-20
The Lord is close to
the brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit. The righteous person
may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him
from them all; Psalm 34:18-1
But this is what the Lord says: “Yes, captives will
be taken from warriors,
and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save. I will make your oppressors eat their
own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as
with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of
Jacob.” Isaiah 49:25-26
He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.” 1 Samuel 15:29
